We can no longer tolerate a political system that rewards those who work solely to benefit their own interests, on the backs of our children and grandchildren!
The conservative values of South Texans must be championed in our Texas Government!
Public officials need to understand that they work for you! A government truly of, by and for WE THE PEOPLE. I will fight alongside you for the needs in our communities and earn your respect. We must rid our public offices of establishment control and intimidation and replace them with regular, hard-working people who you can trust to have your family's best interests at heart.
Parents should be the decision makers for their children for all interests, not the public school system or the government. All medical or psychological services and all curriculum based on divisive ideology or worldview should be removed from the public school system and instead put the focus and funding on STEM curriculum, and bring back music and art studies, trades and robust Constitutional education and civics programs.
There has been great progress made this last year in securing our elections, but there is more work to be done, beginning with increasing criminal penalties for fraudulent voting and corrupt election activities. We must continually work to improve the public trust in the integrity of our election process. As well, we need to be better educators of the election process overall to our fellow Texans.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court has overturned the unconstitutional decision decades ago in Roe vs. Wade, which has been used as the crutch to permit the intentional brutal murder of a child without criminal prosecution, has been overturned. Personhood of a preborn child has already been established in Texas law. Preborn children should have equal protection under the law. Anything less amounts to tolerating the tens of thousands of child murders each year. No part of abortion is healthcare nor is it reproductive health. There is still work to do to ensure our baby Texans' life is acknowledged and protected. My goal is to introduce legislation that removes the bureaucracy and high cost of private adoptions, bypassing the system of foster care that has historically been mismanaged and not what is in the best interest of children.
Whether as a result of the Governor's executive actions, mandates and shutdowns in response to the widespread flu; or, by the infringements by the Biden administration, families and businesses of our beloved State of Texas have suffered greatly, and often times irreparably. I will fight to protect the liberty of all Texans, and do all I can to ensure protections are in place to ensure this tyranny will NEVER happen again.
Mutilation of a child's body is child abuse.
I did not have to ask anyone else to know this. I'm sure you didn't either.
The practice of any pharmaceutical, psychological or surgical procedures with the intent of attempting to 'change' the child's sex needs to be outlawed.
We saw some great progress in restoring some 2A rights this past session with the work of many gun rights activists' efforts, but there is still much left to do. I will reject every narrative that attempts to project an inanimate object as inherently bad, as well as any gun grab laws that do not uphold the right to due process.
Every single lawmaker and state agency leadership should first and foremost budget with the mindset that they are spending OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY. Elected officials serving their constituents should aggressively examine every opportunity for the state to eliminate wasteful and unnecessary spending of taxpayer funds. The public needs to be able to have confidence that their elected officials inform and educate citizens of wasteful, extravagant or corrupt spending, help citizens understand, in laymen's terms, by uncomplicating complexities and encouraging them to advocate for good stewardship of taxpayer funds in order to be a force for holding our government accountable.
Too many times, our legislative priorities stall or die due to politics, plain and simple. Republicans, in a Republican majority legislature, should chair all committees - and they should be actual Republicans who honor the wishes and the work of the grassroots public who developed our legislative priorities - and should work to advance these priorities.
The Republican Party Platform is solid, and Republicans should work hard to introduce and advance legislation that protects our conservative values. When we see, time and time again, how our priority legislation gets ignored or blocked - by Republican legislators - it is because of the people serving in those roles who have been compromised, either because they are unable or unwilling to be bold in their advocacy, or because of their allegiance to the establishment, their reelection or their pocketbooks. I see it as my duty to respect the platform and the beliefs on the critical issues it contains and will never think first 'how will this affect my reelection' before voting to protect our values.
